Nový model MAT-705 V2 je napájen ze dvou interních LiIon baterií, které se dobíjejí přes USB konektor. Není tedy
již potřeba pro výměnu baterie otevírat kryt tuneru.
Minimální spotřeba z baterií- Použitá relé jsou bistabilní, tzn., že po přepnutá již neodebírají z baterie žádný proud.
Pokud se nemění frekvence, lze tuner kompletně vypnout a bistabilní relé zůstanou v poslední naladěné poloze.
Vysoká rychlost naladění. Tuner ukládá do paměti nastavení pro každou použitou frekvenci a to eztrémně zvyšuje
rychlost ladění.
Pokud se nastaví v menu IC-705, provoz je zcela automatický (viz manuál)Ovládací propojovací kabel je součástí

The MAT-705 is a very small and powerful tuner for portable shortwave equipment, especially designed for the Icom IC-705.
The MAT-705 tunes coaxial fed antennas for shortwave, the usable frequency range is from 1.8 to 54 MHz. No matter if it is a vertical, a dipole or a directional antenna - the MAT-705 tunes them. Attention is paid to extremely low power consumption.
The MAT-705 is powered by two internal LiIon batteries that can be charged via a USB socket. This way, the radio's power supply is not burdened! The relays of the tuner are bi-stable, i.e. they do not draw any current after switching. Once settings have been found, the small tuner remembers them automatically. A maximum of 16000 memory locations are available for this purpose. This speeds up the tuning process enormously.
The operation is fully automatic if you have set it accordingly in the radio menu, see operating instructions (Tune on PTT). The MAT-705 tuner is housed in a robust aluminium case, so it can easily travel together with the IC-705.
The required control cable is included, it is 50 cm long and has stereo 3.5 mm jack plugs on both sides. A WiMo employee (active radio amateur) used a 6m long control cable during his holidays and it worked without any problems. This way, the tuner can also be operated at the base of an antenna, away from the radio.
